Y12 Levelling Up Computer Science

Are you a female or non-binary student in Year 12 (or equivalent) with an interest in studying Computer Science? If yes, we invite you to take part in our two day non-residential summer school this Summer!
Supported by the British Computer Society, The Chartered Institute for IT, this fully funded opportunity invites participants to complete interactive workshops within University of Surrey facilities. The programme will feature specialised sessions in:
Across the two days, you will meet our academics, researchers and current students who will be on hand throughout to support and to answer your questions about study and career pathways in addition to the student experience.
This subject-taster takes place on Monday 20 and Tuesday 21 July from 10:00 to 16:00 on each date. This is a two day event and participants will need to be able to attend both dates to complete the non-residential summer school.
This event is open to female and non-binary students in Y12 (or equivalent) who are studying Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Computing and/or Software Systems Development. We have capacity for 30 participants.
Eligible participants can receive a travel bursary to reimburse transport costs across the two dates. You can read more about our travel bursary and eligibility criteria here.
